With Dufour 39, Dufour continues the evolution of its range with a new-generation cruising sailboat designed to meet the diversity of today’s sailing lifestyles and cruising programs. At 37 feet, this new model introduces an approach where sailing performance, onboard comfort, and modularity come together within a single platform, without compromise between uses. Designed for short-handed sailing, family cruising, and more performance-oriented programs alike, the Dufour 39 delivers a smooth, intuitive sailing experience with a strong connection to life outdoors.

An architecture designed to balance performance and livability

Designed by Umberto Felci in collaboration with Luca Ardizio, the Dufour 39 is built around a new hull shape developed to optimize the balance between interior volume, stability, and sailing performance.

The chine hull increases onboard living space while maintaining an efficient waterline and smooth handling under sail.

The single rudder preserves direct and precise helm feedback while simplifying maneuvers in tight spaces or with a reduced crew.

Thanks to its generous beam, voluminous bow, and controlled hull length, the Dufour 39 offers interior volumes comparable to larger yachts while remaining highly maneuverable. Wide side decks and the overall deck layout also contribute to fluid movement onboard and greater comfort underway.

A sailboat configurable for different sailing programs

Dufour 39 has been conceived as an adaptable platform capable of evolving with different ways of sailing. Its deck plan and rigging setup can range from a simplicity-focused configuration featuring a self-tacking jib and furling mainsail, to a more performance-oriented version with a genoa on tracks and a square-top mainsail controlled directly from the cockpit.
This modular approach allows the yacht to adapt to a wide variety of uses, from coastal cruising to more performance-focused sailing, while maintaining consistency in both handling and onboard experience.

An open cockpit designed around outdoor living

Continuing the approach developed by Dufour in recent years, the cockpit of the Dufour 39 plays a central role in the onboard experience.

The Skylounge Cockpit combines sailing functions, circulation, and outdoor living within one open and modular space.

Twin aft helms free up movement onboard and simplify maneuvers, while the different layout options allow the yacht to adapt to both sailing and life at anchor.

The outdoor galley with Seaside Kitchen, modular swim platform, hard top, configurable aft bench, and foldaway helm seats all reinforce the continuity between the yacht and its environment.

A bright and adaptable interior

The Dufour 39 also places particular emphasis on onboard comfort and the connection with the outdoors. Carefully designed glazing significantly increases natural light throughout the interior while maintaining a permanent visual connection with the surrounding environment.

Available in two or three-cabin layouts, the yacht offers multiple interior configurations with a level of modularity rarely seen on a sailboat in this category.

Depending on the selected version, Dufour 39 can notably include:

- a dedicated office space for remote work,
- a large technical storage module capable of accommodating a washer,
- customizable spaces depending on usage needs (additional shower room, wet locker),
- several solutions designed for extended onboard living.

The forward cabin also benefits from the volume created by the bow, offering particularly generous space for a yacht in this segment.

Dufour 39: a new expression of the Dufour DNA

With this new model, Dufour continues its ambition to develop sailboats capable of adapting to different ways of sailing and experiencing life on the water.

The Dufour 39 brings together the brand’s core fundamentals: fluid onboard circulation, generous outdoor living spaces, modular layouts, and a balance between sailing sensations and onboard comfort.
