FIM redefines contemporary luxury at sea with the 560 Contessa
At the 65th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show, taking place from September 18 to 23, 2025, Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi will unveil for the first time in Italy the project of its new model, the 560 Contessa. With delivery scheduled for September 2026, this yacht represents the natural evolution of FIM’s growth, combining elegance, sportiness, and innovation into a vision of contemporary luxury, Italian craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology.
Visitors to the Show will discover the details of the 560 Contessa through a scale model, previewing the lines and proportions of a project distinguished by a balanced and dynamic design. The flybridge blends seamlessly into the overall profile, creating convivial spaces that are both refined and functional. The FIM Driving Experience philosophy, developed with Designworks, the innovation studio of BMW Group, ensures owners an immersive and rewarding experience, while onboard luxury translates into total comfort, premium materials, and innovative ergonomic solutions.
Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi has orchestrated a team effort involving top-level partners: Design aLOT for the exterior lines and Studio Nerocardinale for the interiors. The result is a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, interpreting the brand’s distinctive values through a contemporary lens. Enhancing its pioneering character is the adoption of a patented emergency flotation system, the world’s first solution able to guarantee maximum safety for both vessel and crew in case of collision or failure.
Alongside the 560 Contessa project, Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi will showcase two walkaround yachts already emblematic of the Regina range. The 440 Regina, featuring fold-out terraces and generous spaces, offers a unique blend of versatility and direct contact with the sea, while the 340 Regina proves how luxury and performance can be fully expressed in a compact format.
“Our shipyard was founded on a clear and solid shared vision: to build yachts that embody Italian excellence worldwide,” said FIM founders Corrado Piccinelli and Manuela Barcella. “Today, FIM is a fast-growing company, recognized for its design, craftsmanship, and capacity to innovate. With the 560 Contessa we enter a new dimension—more ambitious and international, yet always true to our values. It is a project that encapsulates our vision of experiencing the sea: a complete journey of beauty, comfort, safety, and engagement. Presenting it for the first time at the Genoa Boat Show, before such a knowledgeable and discerning audience, is both a great source of pride and an opportunity to share our passion and enthusiasm for the future.”
Vannis Marchi, investor partner alongside the co-founders since day one, added: “With FIM we share a forward-looking story made of courage, quality, and innovation. From the very beginning, I believed in the value of this project and in the talent of its leaders, supporting every strategic choice and new challenge with enthusiasm. The 560 Contessa opens a new chapter: a model that projects FIM into the future and demonstrates the strength of a shipyard capable of blending Italian style with international ambition. It is proof of a journey that never stops and will continue to surprise.”
The FIM experience in Genoa will be enriched by the presence and support of partners who share the shipyard’s values: Foglizzo Leather with exclusive accessories from the Domus line, BertO with outdoor furnishings from the Sounds collection, and Tracce by Angelino Artworks, which brings aboard customized steering wheels transformed into unique symbolic and identity-driven objects.
