Cantiere Mimì at Nauticsud with eleven boats
Cantiere Mimì is returning to the International Boat Show in Naples with eleven boats ranging from 6.5 to 11 metres, highlighting the breadth and versatility of its continually growing fleet and the strong bond it has with this Campania boating event, which this year offers over 50,000 square metres of exhibition space.
Cantiere Mimì has decided to showcase eleven models at Nauticsud, which for 10 days, from February 10 to 19, will turn Naples into the capital of pleasure boating.
In the 50,000-square-metre-plus “Mostra d’Oltremare” exhibition space, the shipyard founded in 1975 will be showing eleven of its most iconic models, all featuring a superb balance between modernity and tradition. The brand’s planing gozzo boats, much loved by a public of widely differing ages and nationalities, are the result of an ongoing process of modernisation and do not target just one type of owner, drawing on state-of-the-art technology, contemporary design by Valerio Rivellini, and performance characteristics that satisfy even the most demanding mariners.
“To cater for an increasingly diverse public and anticipate the needs of younger owners, we’re offering various types of boats of the same size rather than adding bigger ones to a fleet featuring models ranging from 5 to 13.5 metres in length. With this strategy, we’ve created different versions of a single model, including the highly successful Walkaround for people seeking freedom of movement in the exterior spaces, the Cabin for those who love boating in comfort with their families, or the Sport for owners addicted to speed,” commented Domenico Senese, who now heads the company founded by his father Salvatore.
The yard is a long-standing exhibitor at this key boat show for central and southern Italy and in just a few decades has increased the size of its presence from 500 square metres of display space to a modern structure occupying 7,000 square metres. Cantiere Mimì plans to further expand its sales network and production capacity and will also be exhibiting at the upcoming international boat shows, not least because of increasing demand from owners beyond the Mediterranean too.
The boat making its first appearance at the Neapolitan show is the Libeccio 9.5 Classic, the latest new development from the yard, created in collaboration with Valerio Rivellini. The yard and the designer together decided to offer a tiller bar version of this model, paying tribute to the appeal of classic gozzo boats and adding value to the design of a modern, innovative model with generous exterior and interior spaces.
On display with the Libeccio 9.5 Classic will be the Libeccio 6.5 Center Consolle, the Libeccio 7 Classic, the Libeccio 7.5 Open, the Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, the Libeccio 8.5 Sport, the Libeccio 8.5 Classic, the Libeccio 9.5 Walkaround, the Libeccio 9.50 Cabin, the Libeccio 11 Walkaround and the Fisherman 22 WA.
