Cantiere Mimì at Nauticsud 2026
Cantiere Mimì will exhibit nine models at the Naples international boat show, in the largest stand at the Mostra d'Oltremare, and give visitors a presentation of the research project developed with Federico II University, in Naples, to manufacture components using natural fabrics and fibres such as linen, hemp and basalt, plus 100% bio-derived resins.
Cantiere Mimì will be attending Nauticsud, held from February 7 to 15 at the Mostra d'Oltremare, where it will be exhibiting nine models from the Libeccio range – with lengths ranging from 6.50 to 11 metres – at the largest stand in the show, covering an area of 600 square metres. They will include the boat show debut of the restyled 8.5 Open, a storied model that the shipyard reinterprets today from a contemporary perspective, twenty years after it was first presented. The restyling involved the complete modernisation of the original project, starting with a redesign of the below-deck layout for better space distribution and greater liveability. The console and helm station have also been redesigned to increase on-board comfort.
One of the main themes of the 52nd edition of the international show organised by Afina will be sustainability, and Cantiere Mimì will illustrate its concrete commitment to this issue by giving visitors a presentation of the research project developed in collaboration with Federico II University, in Naples, to manufacture components for interior and exterior boat fittings and furnishings using innovative materials.

The project, which will soon enter production at the shipyard, involves the use of fabrics, 100% bio-derived resins and natural fibres such as linen, hemp and basalt, creating a completely bio-based system. The initiative also includes a structured project addressing the recyclability and end-of-life management of these materials, with the aim of creating a truly sustainable and circular supply chain that exemplifies the shipyard's innovative approach.
