Apreamare Gozzo 42 to make world premiere at Cannes Yachting Festival 2026
Apreamare will bring the new Gozzo 42 to the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, a 12.8-metre walkaround that evolves the Sorrento-based shipyard’s range with more contemporary styling, new onboard spaces and a choice between traditional shaft-drive propulsion and Volvo Penta IPS.
The upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival (8-13 September) will provide the first opportunity to take a closer look at the Gozzo 42, which Apreamare will present in a world premiere in the prestigious setting of the Pantiero.

Alongside it, within the Sorrento-based shipyard’s exhibition area, which will include a stand with a hospitality area and a dedicated pontoon, will be the flagship Gozzo 45, the Gozzo 38 Cabin and the Gozzo 35, a bestseller with more than 80 units sold. The main focus, however, will inevitably be on the latest addition to the successful Gozzo range.
The Gozzo 42 is a 12.8-metre-long, 4.2-metre-beam walkaround capable of carrying up to 14 people. The project brings together several established names in the yachting industry: first and foremost shipyard president Cataldo Aprea, joined by Marco Casali of Too Design for the design and Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design for the naval architecture, with Apreamare’s technical department coordinating and supervising the project.

The result is a modern boat that retains the strong identity typical of the brand, combining tradition, innovation and build quality. The design introduces a more contemporary language without abandoning the family feeling of the range.
The sleek hardtop, extended aft to provide larger shaded areas, is one of the Gozzo 42’s most distinctive new features. A fully enclosed glass windscreen is available on request to improve cruising comfort in different weather conditions. The helm station is also new, with an ergonomically optimised layout designed to accommodate either three 13-inch displays or two 17-inch screens.

Onboard liveability is one of the boat’s key features. The generous exterior spaces include two sunbathing areas, a cockpit designed for socialising, a configurable wet bar and an aft platform equipped with a tender lift.
The bright and functional interiors feature a comfortable owner’s cabin, while a second cabin can be specified with two separate berths and windows on both sides. The variable-geometry hull with lifting strakes has been designed to accommodate either traditional shaft-drive transmission or Volvo Penta IPS, with a focus on safety, comfort and performance in different sea conditions.

In keeping with Apreamare tradition, the Gozzo 42 also offers significant performance figures. Cruising speed ranges from 22 to 27 knots, while maximum speed reaches 30 knots. A 1,200-litre fuel tank provides extended cruising range.
Two engine configurations are available: twin Volvo Penta D6 units rated at 380 hp or 480 hp with shaft drive, or twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 or IPS 600.
