Maxim Yachts makes its American debut
Maxim Yachts will present the Max 44 R during its global debut at Miami Boat Show, leveraging its collaboration with Legacy Marine, the brand’s first dealer in the United States, which will distribute the full range of Maxim daycruisers in Florida starting February 2025.
“I am convinced that Max 44 R is an ideal model for the North American market, thanks to its performance and spacious, convertible areas—perfect for both leisure and relaxation. Legacy Marine is the perfect partner to introduce us to a region particularly receptive to this type of boat, and I am proud of this partnership,” commented Marc Forné, Sales Manager at Maxim Yachts.
The new 44-foot model, like the previous boats from the Barcelona based shipyard, was developed through a collaboration between Alex Cherigny, who designed the exterior, and Isonaval Studio, which handled the engineering. The heart of the project is the triple outboard engine configuration, delivering a total of 1,200 horsepower with Mercury Verado engines, allowing Max 44 R to reach a speed of over 50 knots. As an alternative, the model can be fitted with three 450-horsepower Yamaha engines.
The central deck area has been designed as a flexible space, furnished with two foldable tables for ten people, four sofas (one of which includes two portable refrigerators), and 16 cup holders. The helm station features a four-seat carbon fiber steering console, in addition to the pilot’s seat and is equipped with two 16-inch Garmin screens and 11 analog indicators.
The carbon fiber hardtop is integrated with a JL audio system, which includes two speakers on the hardtop and six more placed around the boat. Both the bow and stern feature sunbathing areas, with the stern section offering ample storage space.
The galley includes a stovetop, sink, and two large refrigerators, with the option to install up to four refrigerators and an ice maker. Below deck, there are two double cabins, one of which can be converted into a relaxation area.
