Palumbo Superyachts announces the acquisition of the concession of a 13,048.98 sqm state-owned maritime area in the Port of Ortona, intended for the development of shipbuilding activities related to the ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Extra Yachts, and Mondomarine brands.

The area, with direct access to the sea and equipped with a slipway, located within a key Adriatic port, represents a strategic asset for expanding the production and logistics capacity of the Superyachts Division.

ORTONA: TRADITION AND EXPERTISE IN METAL SHIPBUILDING
Ortona is naturally suited to shipbuilding thanks to its structured commercial port, consolidated expertise in metal carpentry, and a specialized industrial supply chain focused on steel processing. This technical heritage integrates perfectly with Palumbo Superyachts’ expertise in the construction of large metal yachts.

INDUSTRIAL GROWTH SUPPORTED BY SOLID FIGURES
The acquisition of the Ortona area takes place during a phase of strong expansion for Palumbo Superyachts in the new-build segment ranging from 30 to 100 meters.

With €1 billion in order backlog and 24 superyachts currently under construction across its shipyards, the company confirms its industrial and commercial strength and its leadership position in the international market.

“Ortona represents a strategic step in Palumbo Superyachts’ growth path,” states Giuseppe Palumbo, Sole Director of Palumbo Superyachts.

“We have chosen a territory whose DNA is rooted in metal shipbuilding and which possesses highly valuable technical expertise. Our objective is to further strengthen our production capacity by investing in infrastructure, people, and innovation. We look to the future with ambition, confident that this new development will significantly contribute to the competitiveness of Italian yachting in global markets.”

Thanks to its direct sea access and strategic location within the Port of Ortona, the new facility will support the construction, outfitting, and logistics of large yachts, integrating with the company’s international network.

With this operation, Palumbo Superyachts confirms its structured and sustainable industrial development strategy, strengthening its presence on the Adriatic and consolidating Italy’s role as a global benchmark in superyacht construction.
