Sanlorenzo renews its support for the LericiPea Golfo dei Poeti
Sanlorenzo renews its support for the ‘’LericiPea Golfo dei Poeti’’ Prize, an important cultural event now in its 69th edition, created to celebrate the poetic heritage of the Ligurian East Coast.
A benchmark for the valorisation of Italian and international poetry, this year the Prize will again give a voice to the youngest poets with the second edition of the Festival 'ARIEL - LericiPea Giovani' dedicated to the Under 35s on stage from 14 to 15 July 2023 in Lerici.
The exquisite musical contribution of the Magasin Du Café, a famous Sardinian group, will accompany both evenings, confirming art as the undisputed protagonist in all its forms.
New to this edition is the collaboration between the prize and the 'Parole Spalancate' International Poetry Festival, which hosted the opening LericiPea press conference on June, 9th 2023 and also awarded 'Edito' 2023 Prize, dedicated exclusively to great Italian poetry.
On that occasion, Sergio Buttiglieri, Style Director of Sanlorenzo Yacht, recalled how the shipyard, partner of ‘’LericiPea Golfo dei Poeti’’ Prize for many years, is committed to supporting the La Spezia area with tangible initiatives. His quote:
"We all have a 'hunger for unknown waters' as Paul Valéry once said. Sanlorenzo has always supported the cultural excellence of the area in which it operates, because it believes this statement to be true and invites its 725 employees to attend again the events of the prestigious LericiPea Award; we are convinced that the quality of our work in the nautical sector increases by sailing these literary worlds as well". Sergio Buttiglieri, Style Director Sanlorenzo
This partnership is part of a series of activities being implemented by Sanlorenzo in Liguria, home of the Shipyard and homeland of many of the workers who contribute day by day to the life of the company. Profoundly involved in the local context, Sanlorenzo is a promoter and sponsor of prestigious cultural and artistic events in the area, such as "Un Mare di Libri" conceived by the La Spezia writer and journalist Marco Ferrari, and ‘’Festival della Mente’’ organised by the Municipality of Sarzana.
