Silent Yachts prepares world debut of first Silent 62 3-Deck at Cannes Yachting Festival
Anticipation is building ahead of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 from September 10-15, when Silent Yachts will introduce the first ever Silent 62 3-Deck. The full-electric catamaran promises a quiet, emission-free experience on the water, thanks to its advanced solar-powered technology.
Visitors to the show will be able to tour the cutting-edge Silent 62 3-Deck Open version. Optimized for outdoor living and warm climate sailing, this boat makes full use of the upper deck as a huge flybridge entertaining space with dining and lounging to suit the owner’s requirements. It neatly illustrates the versatility of the design.
Silent Yachts’ stand will be located at Vieux Port QML 178, while visits to the catamarans will be available at QML 009.
The Italian shipyard also offers this model with an enclosed upper deck. Both versions have a spacious main deck saloon of 50 square meters with large windows, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area, creating a bright and open living space. The total exterior area of the main deck is 80 square meters. It includes the aft cockpit, ideal for alfresco dining and relaxation, and a cozy foredeck lounge with panoramic views.
The Silent 62 3-Deck features Silent Yachts’ trademark super-efficient catamaran hull shape and innovative solar electric drivetrain with no fumes, emissions, or noise. The drivetrain implements the latest liquid cooled batteries, with higher energy density, greater capacity and faster charging rates, thanks to optimized thermal management.
Equipped with a solar array of 16.8 kWp, twin 180 kW E-motors and a 286 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, plus a range extender of 145 kW peak, the Silent 62 3-Deck has a cruising speed of 6-8 knots and transoceanic range.
The yacht has a shallow draft of only 1.24 m and offers 4 to 6 guest cabins, depending on the owners’ wishes, and six bathrooms. The third deck, which covers 60 square meters, is available in three different versions: an open sky lounge, a closed sky lounge, as well as a closed owner's suite variation. All versions are available with a “front exit” on the main deck, which allows guests to directly step onto the foredeck from the main saloon.
