With three well-deserved second places in each race of the series, SW 102 Farfalla won second place on the overall podium, in “Les Mademoiselles de la Mer” class.  Battling to the end with the winner, the 35m Sojana, also designed by Farr, this is proof that Farr projects are achieving great success across a range of LOAs.

The 2019 St Barths Bucket, proved to be exciting and great for the spectators, with 34 of the most magnificent sailing superyachts in the world sailing in the azure blue waters of the Caribbean. The courses took the fleet around rugged rocks and islets surrounding St Barths, with the trade winds heightening the grace and elegance of the competing yachts, a great tribute to modern yacht design.

SW102 Farfalla was helmed by her owner, who did not miss a beat.  He was supported by a close knit crew of friends and professional race crew, who all contributed to a memorable regatta for everyone on board. Amongst the crew were some notable sailors including Dee Caffari, who skippered the "Turn the Tide on Plastic” in the last Volvo Ocean Race with a mixed youth team.  Mo Gray, a long serving crew on board Farfalla, was crew boss, with Ian Budgen as tactician and Nacho Postigo, the navigator.

Farfalla took part in this regatta, following a successful Caribbean charter season, illustrating her versatility in offering an enthralling cruising experience, along with great racing results.

Our congratulations go to Farfalla, the owner and his crew.
