The autumn 2022 edition of the "Southern Wind Family Rendezvous" is about to begin in Porto Rotondo, Sardinia. Hosted by the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo, the event will be held from September 9th to 11th and will see two days of fleet sailing and relaxed moments ashore that will reunite Southern Wind yachts and their owners before the summer season draws to a close. Fun and camaraderie spiced by a bit of competition: these are the ingredients of these unique Southern Wind events, a formula that has been a big success with owners.
This fall's SW Rendezvous will see a large fleet of eleven exceptional yachts participating. These range from the newly launched SW96 Ammonite to the iconic SW78 Ocean Horse, launched in 2004. No less than four SW100s will participate: Acaia, Cape Arrow, Freebird and Farewell. SW105 Kiboko Tres, SW96 Seatius and SW102 Egiwave will also be participating to cap off their leisurely summer of cruising.

Two days of performance sailing and family enjoyment are expected so stay tuned!

SW105 KIBOKO III: Kiboko III and her owner and SW shareholder Juan Ignacio Entrecanales are back after their stellar performance at the Palma Superyacht Cup and a long season of Med cruising. This super proud three time SW yacht owner will be being back on the helm and it's a real pleasure to have him joining us, his sailing family.

SW96 AMMONITE: Launched in 2022, SW96 Ammonite is back from Australia, the home waters of her owner Marcus Blackmore. After having sailed around the world with his first Southern Wind yacht, SW82 Ammonite, Blackmore is back in the Med, participating in our Rendezvous while getting ready for upcoming races.

SW96 SEATIUS: One of our icons, Seatius has won awards such as the Best Interior Design Sailing Yachts award at the 2019 Boat International Design and Innovation Awards and at the International Superyacht Society Awards. Much more than another pretty face, Seatius has real bluewater attitude having sailed over 36.000nm for the most part with her owner aboard. Elegant and sporty, we're happy to have her with us before she heads off for new sailing adventures around the world.

SW96 SORCERESS: Sorceress and a full crew of pros will be participating at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup but will join us for a family sail on Sunday after the competition. What better proof of Southern Wind versatility could you ask for?

SW100 FREEBIRD: Another yacht from the popular and evergreen SW100 series, Freebird arrives in Porto Rotondo after a successful charter season where she sailed from Corsica, to Sardinia and on to the Balearics. Her owner and family will be spending some personal time oboard during the Rendezvous, an event that they love.

SW100 FAREWELL: This icon in the SW fleet will be with us for the first time with her young new owner and his family. It's a first time for them so we're looking forward to offering them a warm welcome to the Southern Wind family.

SW82 GRANDE ORAZIO: Like Sorceress, Grande Orazio will also be joining us after the Maxis. This yacht is one of the top winners in the SW fleet and her owner is almost always present even at our less competitive Rendezvous events as he loves the camaraderie.

SW78 OCEAN HORSE: Another familiar and well-loved Rendezvous presence is Ocean Horse. After spending the summer sailing round Portugal and the Azores, her owner raced back to Sardinia so that the yacht could be with us for the event. Ocean Horse has participated successfully in many a regatta, but will be here just for the fun of it with a crew of friends and family.
