Pirelli J33 Azimut Special Edition
Pirelli by Tecnorib at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018
For Tecnorib, official licensee of PIRELLI brand Reinforced Inflatable Boats, the Cannes boat show will provide the opportunity to present the PIRELLI J45, the latest novelty that extends the range of hydro jet engine powered tenders introduced early in 2018. Also on show, of course, will be several of the Rescaldina-based company’s most successful models.
PIRELLI By Tecnorib returns to the Cannes Yachting Festival, the yachting season’s most important event held this year on the Croisette from September 11 to 16, to present the company’s latest novelty, the PIRELLI J45, a new 4.5-meter tender that joins the J33 and J39.
Fitted with Yanmar 110 HP and Jet Alamarine 185 engines, the PIRELLI J45 demonstrates Tecnorib’s firm intention of both continuing to work on the market for inflatable boats powered by hydro jet engines, as well as of strengthening its partnership with Azimut Yachts. In fact, this model too, like the two previous tenders, will be produced in an Azimut Special Edition that reprises the distinctive and iconic hallmarks of Azimut style and combines them with the features that make the PIRELLI-branded RIBs stand apart from the crowd. The version presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival will be the Azimut Special Edition.
Tecnorib CEO Gianni De Bonis said: “We recognised the potential in the tender sector and, after seeing the success of the first two models, we’ve decided to offer an even more comprehensive range. After the new entry presented at Cannes, the next novelty will be a 2.9-meter tender that will make its debut in 2019”. In little more than a year, Tecnorib has become one of the leading players in a market that is undergoing a sea change, betting everything on innovative technology, which has always been one of the company’s main sources of both strength and pride, and on the customary care it takes over design.
As well as the PIRELLI J45, also on show at Cannes will be the PIRELLI J33, the PIRELLI J39 in classic Pirelli livery, the PIRELLI 1100 Cabin, an inflatable boat almost 11 meters long with a top speed of very nearly 50 knots, the PIRELLI 1900, which made its debut at Cannes last year, and finally the PIRELLI 1400 Sport, an RIB with a racing-derived hull designed by Tecnorib and Swedish design studio Ocke Mannerfelt Design, fitted with a pair of 430 hp Volvo Penta engines.
Tecnorib will be at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 11 to 16, 2018, stand QML192.
