Admiral Kenshō conquers the “Best interior design, motor yachts 500GT and above” Award of the prestigious Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2023
Admiral Kenshō wins the Best interior design, motor yachts
The Italian Sea Group announces that the megayacht Admiral Kenshō 75m has won the “Best interior design, motor yachts” Award in the category “500 GT and above” of the prestigious Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2023 which celebrates architecture, style, design, and technological innovation in yachting.
The award ceremony was held Wednesday 8th February in Cortina d’Ampezzo, during the Superyacht Design Festival, in the presence of an international jury of experts in the sector.
“This award is a further success that confirms our ability to collaborate in synergy with international professionals” – concluded Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group. – “I congratulate the whole team of professionals who collaborated closely and enthusiastically in the birth of this wonderful yacht so full of details and research. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.”
The innovative Kenshō megayacht, delivered in July 2022, was born from the collaboration between the Owner, who personally followed the project, the French agency Jouin Manku, which designed the interiors and Azure Design, that developed the exteriors together with archineers.berlin Technical challenges are answered with feasible but poetic solutions redefining the boundaries of space, distribution, and luxury, embodying the Owner's personal vision towards a new idea of the sea voyage experience.
From the exteriors to the interiors, the narrative is fluid and contemporary: Teak, Marble, Onyx, Silk, Wool, Bronze and Glass, make up a heterogeneous set of materials combined for a poetic and refined result.
Consistent with The Italian Sea Group’s strategy, more and more sustainability-oriented, Admiral Kenshō is equipped with an innovative “diesel-electric” propulsion system, with permanent magnet electric engines that provide high efficiency and strong power, with limited volumes. The propulsion system is equipped with five variable speed generators, all provided with an anti-particulate system to optimize consumption at any speed and reduce emissions into the atmosphere.
The design was developed mostly focusing on the environmental impact, respecting the “ECO” notation of the IACS; even the hull was designed to minimize the resistance using an Azimuth thruster and retractable stabilization flaps.
