Lady Lene nominee at 2022 World Superyacht Awards
We are delighted to announce that our fully-custom, all-aluminium tri-deck explorer Lady Lene is a nominee in the World Superyacht Awards 2022 category for Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts (30-34.9m). Ordered for a repeat Van der Valk client armed with highly specific requests, Lady Lene combines the expertise of four leading players from the Dutch superyacht sector for her design, naval architecture and technical construction, with her naval architecture a collaborative effort between the dynamic duo Ginton Naval Architects and Diana Yacht Design and exteriors by Guido de Groot Design.
With her sophisticated and calming Art Deco-inspired interiors springing from the pen of Carla Guilhem, standout areas on board Lady Lene include her large, airy saloon and dining area on the main deck, as well as her aft entertainment area complete with numerous relaxation and dining spaces, as well as a generous swim platform and bar, providing the ideal chill-out space for extended sea cruises.
Performance-wise, Lady Lene features a Fast Displacement hull, a wave-piercing bow and a Hull Vane transom wing to ensure both exceptional performance and significant fuel savings, with a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots (power is provided by twin MAN 1650hp diesel engines). In addition, the superior stabilisation of her gyro system at zero speed is combined with a fin system perfect for weathering even the choppiest of waters in total comfort.
