SIOS Startupitalia meets the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Female Team

Now at its ninth edition, the Italian event dedicated to innovation and startups returned to Milan for its year-end meeting. The Sios Winter Summit 2024 took place December 17 at Palazzo Mezzanotte and offered the occasion to discuss innovation, investments, technologies and new challenges that showcase the excellence of Made in Italy throughout the world.

The stage hosted key players from various sectors who shared their experiences and vision of the future, aiming to make today’s ideas become tomorrow’s projects and highlighting the importance of human capital as an essential foundation for any technological development.

Among the speakers of this edition were Alice Linussi and Maria Vittoria Marchesini, two sailors from the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli female team, who shared with the audience their professional and sporting journey that culminated in their victory in the Puig Women’s America’s Cup.

Their story was also the opportunity to celebrate a sailing team that, since its beginning in 1997, has invested heavily in the training of young talent while simultaneously exploiting the many strengths of the Italian industry.
