Yacht Club de Monaco just announced that it has achieved official recognition as an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) training centre, marking another milestone in its commitment to provide excellence in the maritime education field. Held in English, RYA certificated courses in a range of skills are recognised and respected worldwide as the best.

YCM’s La Belle Classe Academy training centre (https: //labelleclasseacademy.com/fr accueil/) is now authorised to deliver RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling courses year-round, thereby expanding its range of certificated courses to meet the growing needs of owners, crews, yachtsmen and all those aspiring to a career in yachting.

Bernard d’Alessandri, YCM General Secretary says: “We’re thrilled to be taking this significant step forward. Over the last few years, La Belle Classe Academy has continued to evolve and expand its training offer aimed at owners, crews and anyone wishing to get involved in the yachting world. There is no doubt, this educational tool contributes to Monaco’s attractiveness”.

James Brooke, appointed lead instructor to deliver the RYA courses, shares his enthusiasm: “I am incredibly proud and excited to have joined such a professional team. We are looking forward to delivering the highest levels of training, ensuring the Yacht Club de Monaco is recognised as a world leading training centre of excellence. The RYA offers a wide range of on-water and shore-based courses and we are developing a comprehensive programme to provide accessibility and fun for all to enjoy”.

With this latest development, Yacht Club de Monaco confirms its positioning as a leader in maritime education and continues to promote the highest standards, in line with its collective ‘Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting’ approach.
