The launch of Besenzoni's BeDesign division marks the beginning of a new exciting chapter in the history of the company and is made official with the creation of the ISCHIA recliner deck chair in collaboration with designer Francesco Forcellini.

The FuoriSalone2024 has been the occasion for Besenzoni to present ISCHIA, the new deck chair born form designer Francesco Forcellini’s creative mind, marking the start of the BeDesign Division and clearing the way for a large-scale project involving collaborations with designers operating in different sectors.

The reclining deck chair ISCHIA designed for Besenzoni by Forcellini is inspired by the high-tech nature and precision of the company's products, and by the concept of fluid living.

With its square profile and polished steel structure, the armchair calls to mind the way light reflects on the water and is similar to other classic products designed by the Sarnico-based company.

The deck chair has a clean, linear design and generous padding, providing the level of comfort typically found in a piece of furniture for the home: it is a versatile piece of furniture that can be used on boats, outdoors as well as inside homes.

Thanks to the possibility of using different fabrics, its 'character' can change and be typically nautical by choosing the striped configuration, or more suitable for the home by opting for different pattern.

ISCHIA can be folded and stored away to take up less space when not needed, but once opened it has the comfort and style of a modern reclining lounge chair rather than that of a folding sun lounger.

Attention to detail is at the heart of this reclining lounge chair, from the materials used to the stitching, right down to the pivoting anchor feet allowing it to rest firmly on the ground even on surfaces that are not perfectly flat, such as wooden jetties, while also providing wider feet that won’t damage delicate flooring. It is therefore possible to move it with great ease from a boat to any kind of space.

The 'Giovanni Besenzoni' award, organised for the second consecutive year in collaboration with the Industrial and Research Design course of the Libera Accademia di Belle Arti (LABA) of Brescia, fits perfectly into this new path.

A scholarship that aims to stimulate research and innovation among young people, promoting the development of original solutions and ideas on the theme of 'nautical outdoor'.
