Mase Generators confirm their participation in the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival, at stand no. 076 inside the Palais from September 10th to 15th, 2024.

Here are some of the novelties related to this edition of the prestigious French kermesse by Mase, who invite all visitors to the Cannes Boat Show to discover live some of its innovative systems and to learn all the detailsm at their stand. This is a great opportunity to dive into the future of sustainable navigation, a direction in which Mase Generators are proud to be pioneers.

SWAN ARROW AND MASE ON AN INNOVATIVE HYBRID POWER SOURCE

Sustainability is a very important aspect for Nautor Swan and the Swan Arrow 75 reflects this with its innovative design. The hull is designed to offer high performance with a sustainable approach to fuel consumption. One of the main innovations is the variable speed hybrid marine generator developed by Mase Generators and proposed as part of the Flexi System, centred around a variable speed hybrid marine generator combined with a modular lithium battery pack, designed to operate in two modes
- conventional endothermic mode, with the engine running;
- zero emission mode, which allows the lithium batteries to power the inverter installed inside the generator,
which in turn powers on-board hotel services such as air conditioning.

The system installed on the new Arrow 75 has a total power output of approximately 62 kW/h, consisting of 6 (six) batteries and their PDU (Power Distribution Unit), each equipped with fuses and safety switches, and altogether controlled by a master and slave BMS logic, aimed at preventing any type of condition that could jeopardise the integrity of the batteries.

In addition, the system is complemented by a liquid cooling system (glycol) and an emergency flooding system for added safety. The entire Flexi System, currently undergoing Rina certification, will be controlled and monitored directly from the bridge via the vessel's original plotters. The Flexi System by Mase Generators is the latest addition to the product portfolio, focusing on a variable speed hybrid marine generator combined with a modular lithium battery pack, designed and developed to use the system in the two modes described above.

PLOTTER

The latest innovation in terms of services in the Mase range will be a marine generator monitoring system that can be controlled directly from the boat's dashboard thanks to an application developed in collaboration with Böning, whose software is compatible with HTML 5-compatible chart plotters from the main manufacturers on the market.
The interface, simple and intuitive, is designed to ensure a fast and complete user experience. Commands are concentrated together with salient information on the main page to give total control of the unit and allow it to be navigated safely.

The commands available at the click of a button are:
operaƟng modes
generator status
power output
voltage and speed
presence of alarms

In the event of an alarm occurring, in addition to the audible and visual signals, a pop-up will appear with details of the problem encountered and commands to silence and reset the warning. Another important aspect linked to this new application is the maintenance management, so that the system will signal when to carry out maintenance, advising when an intervention is needed and also highlighting which kind; by means of a dedicated QR code, on the ‘maintenance’ page, it will then be possible to easily access the new service portal where all the instructions, procedures and spare parts needed to carry out the required interventions will be shown. The new application will be available from the 2024/25 boating season, i.e. from September 2024.

MASE & NUMARINE

Numarine's new 30XP model joins the XP Numarine fleet. With its 30.75 metres it is placed between the highly appreciated 26XP and 32XP yachts with the peculiarity of being equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system, an absolute novelty for the Turkish builder, a system supported by 4 MASE VS 130 VLS generators (Volvo D4 variable speed engines equipped with permanent magnet alternators) which will ensure the necessary power for the on-board hotel and propulsion. The maximum speed envisaged for the 30XP superyacht will be 13 knots with a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 8 knots. The 30 XP will have its world premiere at the Cannes Boat Show.

MASE & ROSSINAVI
Rossinavi recently launched the M/Y Seawolf X, a hybrid-electric catamaran that represents a significant step forward in the world of sustainable luxury yachting. This state-of-the-art yacht combines elegance, innovation and environmental responsibility, embodying the Italian shipyard's new BluE philosophy. The Seawolf X boasts exceptional technical features that allow for different sailing modes from full electric to a mode where 80 per cent of the energy comes from the batteries during the transatlantic crossing. The yacht can even be used to power a seaside villa thanks to its photovoltaic panels. Two MASE model VS 350 VLS (Volvo D13 variable speed engines equipped with permanent magnet alternators) diesel generators are installed on board for the fast charging of the batteries. The official presentation of the Seawolf X is scheduled to take place at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 25th to 28th.
