Oyster is delighted to announce that the Oyster 745 will make her US show début at Strictly Sail Miami Boat Show, February 16 - 20, 2017.

The second Oyster yacht for this US owner, Graycious is hull #3 of the popular new model, featuring an extended transom with fold down swim platform and a powerful carbon rig with North 3di sails and stunning light maple interior joinery.

Designed in partnership with Humphreys Yacht Design, the Oyster 745 is the 16th design of the successful collaboration, and incorporates the latest twin rudder hull configuration first developed for the Oyster 885.

As with the Oyster 675, the Oyster 745 recognizes the needs of the owner to perhaps run the yacht with one or two crew for some of the year and to be able to sail with just friends and family when choice allows.

About the Oyster 745, Oyster CEO David Tydeman says, “You get a really nice master cabin with a big ensuite, a very good guest cabin aft which can be either a double, a twin, with Pullmans, or combination of all of these, and a third double guest cabin forward. The crew cabin is forward of the galley, allowing a social separation of crew and the owner/guests and we left a flexible area just aft of the saloon on the starboard side. It's been exciting to see how the ideas for using this space have evolved – a private office, a laundry/utility space, a kids hideaway cabin or an open plan extension to the main saloon."

Oyster will also display a pedigree example from Oyster Brokerage - the 2008 Oyster 655 Proteus is regarded as the highest spec 655 ever built. Featuring performance carbon rig and sails with custom Harken deck gear, rich teak joinery, and shoal draft, Proteus is available immediately to sail into the sunset on her next adventure.

The Oyster US team from Newport, Rhode Island, will be on hand to discuss all the exciting things happening at Oyster in 2017, including the announcement of the new Oyster 565 and 595 and the commencement of the second Oyster World Rally in January, which saw 31 yachts set off for a 27-month circumnavigation.
