Italian Navy: italian school ship Palinuro visits Montenegro

Tuesday June 27th, Italian Navy School ship Palinuro arrived at Tivat in Montenegro, where it will be moored until the 29th of June, when it will reach Kotor. The Palinuro will leave Montenegro on Saturday July the 1st.

On Wednesday, June 28 at 16:30 local time, the Commanding Officer of the Palinuro, Commander Giuseppe Valentini, will hold a press conference on board to present the ship and the 2017 Training Campaign.

The Palinuro is underway for the 2017 training campaing with the cadets of the 1st year of the Naval Military School “Morosini”, based in Venice. This campaing is for many of the cadets, the first real approach with the sea and with ship board life.

In the timeframe between July and September the ship will host onboard the cadets of the noncommissioned officer (NCO) normal class, coming from the Italian Navy’s NCO School of Taranto. On board they will learn about navigation and nautical sciences.

Palinuro’s visit to Montenegro is intended to promote and strengthen the deep relationship that ties the Navies and the Armed Forces of the two countries.

The ship will be available for visits on board:

Thursday June 29, from 10:00 to 12:00 in port at Tivat;

Friday June 30, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00 in port at Kotor.
