Slam presents its exclusive Foil Collection
13 months after a key shift in ownership, 'Slam is Back', a commitment made on 31st May in Milan during an event held by the historic sportswear company founded in Genoa in 1979 to launch its new direction, has now become a reality as Slam presents its brand new Foil Collection.
This collection is our contribution to the future of sailing – announced Enrico Chieffi, CEO of Slam since July 2021 and first to have pushed for and to have believed in this exclusive and innovative sportswear line – last year we started working on this new project, with the idea of engaging with our Dream Team of athletes during its design phase, since they are the ones who have adapted successfully to using foiling technology and who know what it takes to compete at the highest levels of sailing.Their contribution has been essential for developing innovative solutions dedicated to sailing safely."
This entire collection was first conceived to create innovative, streamlined and extremely high-performing items of clothing, implementing the very latest cutting-edge technology currently available on the market. In fact, the first layer designed for the collection features Seamless technology which allows for items of clothing to be produced without any seams coming into contact with the wearer's skin and for complete freedom of movement. The collection also features the use of Body Mapping techniques that allow for the yarn to be applied on the basis of which points require more or less compression.
Both innovations, paired with an extremely dynamic style, make Slam's Seamless sportswear ideal for the Winter or for Northern climates, whether at the gym, in the mountains or biking, making it an exceptionally versatile line.
As for colours, Slam started out with a more traditional palette then mixed in a few new ideas to give this brand new collection its own clear identity. The red sleeve, black body and grey sides represent the colour block for this line, a strong, decisive palette that defines the collection's uniqueness.
A brand new look has also been given to SLAM's flagship stores, where customers can now experience the new collection first-hand, and to the official website, now sporting a brand new style, redesigned to be more dynamic and innovative while remaining in line with the brand's new direction, featuring Slam's Dream Team of athletes wearing the new collection.
