Tuxedo Yachting House has presented in Milan the project of the new Ceccarelli 40, a 40-metre aluminium superyacht that inaugurates the Ceccarelli Collection. The event took place at On House Milano and marked the return of the Ceccarelli family to the superyacht segment, following its long-standing experience in the construction of large yachts.

The project is the result of a collaboration with Francesco Paszkowski Design, supported by architect Margherita Casprini for the interiors and, for the first time, by Sebastian Martinez for the exterior design. Naval architecture has been developed by Names, led by Francesco Rogantin.

From a stylistic point of view, the Ceccarelli 40 adopts a contemporary language based on clean lines and balanced proportions, with particular attention paid to the stern, conceived as a distinctive element both at sea and alongside. Design solutions include the structural integration between the upper deck supports and the stairway leading to the transom door, a transom door with a glazed insert to increase natural light inside, and an enlarged stern cable-passage area to facilitate mooring operations.

At the bow, a lounge area is arranged beneath the wheelhouse, with sunbathing space and lockers inspired by automotive design. The wheelhouse features a windshield inclined aft, contributing to a low and streamlined profile. The rollbar incorporates folded and faceted surfaces extending beyond the beam, recalling stylistic elements of yachts historically built by the Ceccarelli family.

The interior layout, developed by Margherita Casprini for the Paszkowski studio, follows a traditional volumetric arrangement, with modern environments designed to remain coherent with the exterior language. One of the key design choices is the use of interior materials also in exterior areas, such as the wooden elements at the entrance of the main deck, in order to ensure visual continuity between inside and outside.

Names has been responsible for the naval architecture, basic design and part of the detailed engineering, including structure, systems and mechanical installations. The hull is of semi-displacement type and has been optimised through CFD hydrodynamic analyses to limit installed power while achieving a top speed exceeding 18 knots. The standard propulsion configuration consists of two diesel engines driving conventional shaft lines with high-efficiency fixed-pitch propellers, while the project is also prepared for the possible installation of a hybrid propulsion system with battery packs.

During the presentation, a partnership with TWW Yachts was also announced. The Monaco-based company, with offices in the main European yachting hubs, will act as Central Agent for the exclusive sale of the new superyacht.

The Ceccarelli 40 forms part of Tuxedo Yachting House’s development strategy, which since 2020 has introduced the Tuxedo White and Tuxedo Blue collections. The new project represents an evolution towards the aluminium superyacht segment, combining construction tradition, contemporary design and updated technical solutions.
