Pardo Yachts brings the new outboard version of its reference 14-metre walkaround to the Miami International Boat Show. The Pardo 43R has been developed around an outboard propulsion setup, not as a simple adaptation of the inboard model, with specific modifications to the hull, transom and external deck layout.

The project builds on the experience gained with the Pardo 43, introduced in 2017 and widely distributed on the international market. It retains the single-level walkaround configuration, reverse bow and clean deck lines. In the 43R version, however, the platform has been recalibrated for outboard propulsion, with a redesigned hull optimized for higher speed ranges.

The standard configuration includes three Mercury Marine V10 outboards rated at 400 hp each, while the top option reaches three V12 units of 600 hp, with a declared top speed above 50 knots. This technical choice positions the model toward a more sporty and dynamic use, aimed at owners focused on performance and throttle response, compared with the inboard IPS version, which is oriented toward range and cruising efficiency.

The deck layout confirms the walkaround scheme with wide and protected side decks. Forward, a large sunpad area with forward-facing seating is arranged as a lounge zone. Aft, the cockpit follows the inboard 43 layout with opposing sofas and a table convertible into a sunpad.

The main redesign concerns the transom: the project retains the tender garage while introducing a revised swim platform with an integrated well for the outboard engines. The carbon T-top is visually connected to the windshield and can be fitted with an optional electric aft bimini to extend shaded coverage.

The interiors are arranged with a focus on brightness and functionality, with hull windows for natural light and wood and fabric finishes consistent with the yard’s identity. The forward cabin features a V-berth convertible into a dinette, while a midship guest area provides two berths. The head is positioned to starboard and serves both sleeping areas.

With the 43R, the yard offers two interpretations of the same concept: the inboard version, intended for coastal cruising and longer passages, and the outboard variant, focused on top speed, acceleration response and simplified propulsion management. In both cases, exterior living areas and the social layout remain central features of the walkaround range.
