Freedom Boat Club reaches 450 locations worldwide
Freedom Boat Club marks 450th global location: new opening at Jersey City's Liberty Landing Marina overlooking the Statue of Liberty
Freedom Boat Club, the world's largest boat club and a business of Brunswick Corporation, has announced the opening of its 450th location globally. The network has more than doubled since Brunswick's acquisition in 2019 and now spans 35 US states, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.
The 450th location is Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, New Jersey, overlooking the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. The location is owned by franchisees Bev and Tom Rosella.
"This milestone is a direct result of disciplined execution, a differentiated model and the enduring appeal of the boating lifestyle," said Cecil Cohn, Freedom Boat Club president. "We've scaled with purpose by expanding into high-demand markets, strengthening the member experience, and building a global network united by a shared mission to get more people on the water."
Recent and newly announced openings include, alongside Liberty Landing Marina, two new locations in southern France at Sète (a new FBC of Cap d'Agde location) and Gruissan, strengthening the club's presence along the Mediterranean coast. In the United States, new additions include Cleveland Harbor Marina on the Great Lakes, Lake Hopatcong in New Jersey and Hutchinson Island in Savannah, Georgia.
Freedom Boat Club operates as part of Brunswick Corporation's marine ecosystem and benefits from the group's products and services, while representing a source of demand for engines, boats and parts and accessories.
"This trajectory reflects the growing appeal of flexible ways to enjoy life on the water," added Cohn. "We're scaling a model that expands access, introduces more people to boating, and positions Freedom Boat Club as an important driver of the industry's long-term growth."
