Vitruvius Yacht Design brings Spirit and Fast 50 to Monaco

Vitruvius Yacht Design will return to the Monaco Yacht Show, held from 23 to 26 September 2026, with two new projects, both launched this summer: the 52-metre Tankoa Yachts M/Y Spirit and the Fast 50. Founded and led by Philippe Briand, the yacht design and architecture studio is now an Italian-based company with its headquarters in Viareggio.

Spirit, a wellness-focused yacht, will make its world debut at the show. The Fast 50 will be shown as a preview, and the studio plans to release further details during the event.

Vitruvius works across concept development, exterior styling, interior architecture and naval architecture. The studio describes this as an integrated design approach and says it is reflected in both yachts on show in Monaco.

On the Fast 50, the studio took its design philosophy to the extreme at the client's request. "Our passion is to design unique superyachts for unique owners. The essence of our design is purity and proportion, enhancing the owner's experience," said Briand, founder of Vitruvius Yacht Design. According to the studio, the Fast 50 is a single-deck yacht with the sleekest and lowest profile Vitruvius has ever designed, and a stated top speed of 35 knots.

"We summarised the message of purity and speed in one line: the sheerline, the separation between the hull and the superstructure," Briand said.

As exterior designer, Vitruvius worked closely with the owner, interior designer Liaigre, naval architect Mulder and the Alia shipyard. The studio says the owner's vision of balance, wellbeing and life on the water guided the project throughout.
