Denison Yachting has appointed Patrick Coote as president of the company worldwide. The Fort Lauderdale-based firm announced the appointment in October 2026.

The move follows the completion of a strategic partnership with OceanWorld Group, which has become Denison’s majority shareholder. OceanWorld operates across Europe, the Middle East and the United States in yacht sales and brokerage, charter, management, crewing, manufacturing and marine services.

Denison, which has more than 75 years in the yachting industry and has grown mainly in the US market, plans under its new ownership to strengthen its position in the United States and expand in Europe and the GCC. According to the company, Coote will lead this strategy, which combines organic investment with a targeted acquisition programme covering brokerage, dealership and wider yachting activities in all three regions. A recruitment drive is also planned to expand the team.

Coote has more than 25 years of senior experience in the international superyacht industry. He has held leadership roles at Fraser Yachts, Northrop & Johnson, the Azimut Benetti Group and Blohm+Voss, and most recently worked in MarineMax’s Superyacht Division across all the brands in its superyacht portfolio. His background covers sales and brokerage, charter, yacht management, new-build construction and refit, as well as international business development, marketing and brand strategy. In his new role he will focus on operational performance across all regions and on collaboration between them.

“Denison is one of those rare names in yachting that combines genuine heritage with enormous potential for the future,” said Coote. “The company has built an outstanding business in the United States, an exceptional reputation among its clients and, importantly, an incredibly strong team. The opportunity now is to build on those foundations and develop Denison on a truly international scale.”

He added that his internal focus would be on the company’s people as much as its external focus is on clients. “Denison has already created an exceptional environment for brokers, supported by some of the best tools, technology and systems in the industry. I want to build on that, ensuring our existing teams have every opportunity to succeed while making Denison an increasingly compelling destination for the very best talent in the industry,” he said.

“Patrick’s appointment reflects the scale of our ambition for Denison,” said Lydia Pascarelli, CEO of OceanWorld Group. Pascarelli said Coote will oversee Denison’s global brokerage division, driving its continued expansion and strengthening collaboration across key international markets, working alongside Denison CEO Bryan Braley. “We are committed to providing the support and resources necessary to realise the considerable potential of the Denison brand,” she said.
