Leadership change at Tankoa Yachts. Vincenzo Poerio has resigned as chief executive officer of the Genoa-based superyacht builder.

According to information gathered by PressMare, leaving his executive role would not, for the time being, mean a withdrawal from the company. Poerio, who joined Tankoa in 2020, would retain a shareholding that, as far as we understand, amounts to around 10% of the share capital.

The resignation appears to be linked to the new role taking shape for Poerio in connection with the possible acquisition of The Italian Sea Group. Poerio is in fact named as the group’s future chief executive should the deal be awarded to SRI Global, the fund linked to Giulio Gallazzi and Bernardo Vacchi.

PressMare contacted both Tankoa and Vincenzo Poerio, but neither wished to comment.
