The Melges World League regatta circuit is back in the limelight from tomorrow to Sunday 12 with a welcome return to the Gaeta regatta course which had already successfully hosted the Melges fleets in the past.

The Gaeta Grand Prix, organized by Melges Europe in collaboration with Yacht Club Gaeta and Base Nautica Flavio Gioia, brings together the Melges 32, 20 and 14 classes with the fleet of the largest that will open the competitive program tomorrow followed, from Friday 10 June by Melges 20 and Saturday 11 at Melges 14.

For the Melges 32 class this from Gaeta is the second challenge of the season after the opening last month in Porto San Giorgio which saw the success of the German team of Homanit who as Corinthian lined up all the opponents.

For the Melges 20 fleet, Dario Levi's Fremito d'Arja restarts from a solid leadership in the circuit classification after the two successes obtained in the first two stages of the season in Marina di Scarlino and Porto San Giorgio.

For the Melges 14 class, the one in Gaeta is the second round of the season in which Mario Aquila's Vanitè XXS appears at the start as number 1 in the ranking.

The first start of the four days of racing of the Melges World League - Gaeta Grand Prix is ​​scheduled for 13.00 tomorrow.


The Melges World League 2022 counts on the support of: Helly Hansen, Quantum, North Sails, Garmin and Madonna di Campiglio as well as the technical partners Free Ride Cosmetics, Equilibra, Rigoni di Asiago, Revì, Acqua Cedea, Azienda Agricola il Ponte, Birrificio Petragnolo, Dai Dai, La Bellanotte, Sabatini Gin, Caffè Toscano, FoodNess and le Formiche di Fabio Vettori.
