Italia Yachts Introduces Its First Motorized Walkaround Vessel.With the launch of its eagerly anticipated motorized unit, Italia Yachts celebrates its debut into the world of motorboats, unveiling a new line. This venture stems from the desire to offer our clients a motorboat embodying the same stylistic elements that distinguish our sailboat series—a classic yet modern line recognizable at first glance. "With this blend of style, technology, and innovation, encapsulated in an elegant form, we aim to express the pinnacle of Italian craftsmanship," says Daniele De Tullio, CEO of Italia Yachts.The IY 43 Veloce is entirely built at the Monteporzio shipyard (PU) and has successfully completed a series of rigorous technical tests before making its official debut at the Boat Show.
The upcoming units, already under construction, are soon to be shipped to the United States, Netherlands, France, and the Philippines.The extensive tests and voyages conducted by the shipyard have highlighted the key features of this walkaround model, which can be summarized as ease of handling and maneuverability, achieved through meticulous hull design and advanced onboard electronics, calibrated with leading industry players.Navigating aboard the IY 43 Veloce is smooth, with gentle wave transitions and a top speed of 30 knots, powered by the inboard Yanmar Stern Drive 2 x 380 hp engines.
The goal of providing an extreme sense of safety onboard has also been achieved, thanks to the high bulwarks and perfect visibility from the helm, ensured by the narrow supports of the T-Top. These two core concepts, originally implemented in the production of racing sailboats and rigorously maintained in cruising yachts, have now been successfully translated to motorboats.An interesting fact: the first units of the IY 43 Veloce will be launched with various engine configurations, including the inboard Yanmar Stern Drive 2 x 380 hp, D6 IPS 600 2 x 440 hp, D6 IPS 650 2 x 480 hp, and the outboard Mercury Verado 3 x 300 hp and 3 x 400 hp.The official presentation of the IY 43 Veloce by Italia Yachts will take place at the upcoming Genoa Boat Show (SC35) at the Italia Yachts stand. It could not be otherwise for a shipyard that proudly bears the name Italia in its brand and boasts a production process—from design to finished product—entirely Made in Italy.
At the Boat Show, the IY 12.98 will also be on display. This beautiful yacht, predominantly designed for cruising, boasts a corsair spirit that excels in both short and long-distance regattas, delivering delightful sailing experiences. Additionally, the IY 14.98, a blue-water yacht, stands out for its simplicity, rationality, functionality, and versatility, making it ideal for both cruising and racing.
