Italia Yachts Dominates the 2024 UVAI Circuit
An unforgettable day for Italia Yachts, as our owners claimed the most coveted trophies of the 2024 UVAI circuit, reaffirming that Italia Yachts are not only stunning but also fast and built to win.
A trophy haul for Gianluigi Dubbini, who, aboard his IY 9.98 Sarchiapone, clinched the Armatore dell’Anno Trophy, dominating the overall ranking (nearly 600 participants) and securing victory in Class C. Corrado Annis, also on an IY 9.98, took second place, while Massimo Romeo Piparo, at the helm of IY 11.98 Guardamago 3, claimed third, also earning the Armatore dell’Anno title for Class B.
A glance at the rankings reveals an extraordinary record: Italia Yachts skippers secured all top five positions in the overall standings, setting a new benchmark to beat: 1. Gianluigi Dubbini IY 9.98 Sarchiapone, 2. Corrado Annis IY 9.98 Lady Day, 3. Massimo R. Piparo IY 11.98 Guardamago 3, 4. Roberto Di Stefano IY 9.98 Take Five, 5 . Stefano Rusconi IY 11.98 To Be.
To celebrate this outstanding achievement, Italia Yachts awarded the Squadra Corse prizes to each of these five exceptional owners, whose relentless performance aboard their Italia Yachts dominated the entire 2024 Armatore dell’Anno season 59 regattas, both inshore and offshore.
Expert tactics, offshore racing experience, and an unrivaled ability to read the wind made all the difference.
Daniele De Tullio, who oversees every design detail of Italia Yachts with passion and expertise, expressed his pride:
"Seeing so many Italia Yachts leading the rankings among nearly 600 boats is a true honor. It confirms that our design philosophy and advanced construction technology deliver results. The credit, however, goes entirely to our owners and their teams, who, through dedicated training—including the Squadra Corse program I strongly advocated—are able to hit their targets in record time. Our yachts are built to win as well as to sail, and every Italia Yachts team has the potential to reach the podium."
