JFA Yachts reveals new 50 m Aluminium Explorer project

The renowned French shipbuilder announces the construction of a 50 m custom Explorer yacht. This project confirms once again JFA Yachts ‘ability to adapt to unique needs of demanding clients. 

The naval architecture and exterior styling are entrusted to Humphreys Yacht Design, the world-renowned studio based in Lymington, UK. “The design has benefitted from a highly integrated approach to marry all the technical, functional and client specific requi¬rements and underpinned through a rigorous Naval architecture effort where intensive CFD work was ultimately validated by one of the most comprehensive model testing programs” Tom Humphreys explains. 

This new motor yacht will have a light dis¬placement, stabilizer fins combined with a large gyro, capacity to carry sizeable tenders and multiples toys. The life inside will be open on the exterior with a lot of glass and large outside areas. Hybrid propulsion is a notable characteristic of this new yacht, whilst she is built for worldwide family cruises, no compromise have been made between high level of autonomy and sustainability. 
The interior design comes from the drawing boards of m2 atelier, the international studio based in Milan founded by architects Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonneli.

The 50 m Aluminium Explorer is the first motor yacht in the JFA shipyard built with an aluminium hull and a superstructure partially in composite glass epoxy. The building of the hull is due to begin this autumn 2021 and construction is scheduled for completion in 2024.
