boot Düsseldorf: Nerea Yacht launches NY40 outboard
Elegant, high-performance, and customizable, with a focus on sustainability in true Nerea style, the Outboard version of the flagship NY40 debuted at Boot Düsseldorf, the world's largest indoor boat show in Germany. Dario Messina, founder of Nerea Yacht and one of the most eclectic and innovative players in the yachting industry in recent years, designed and built the first yacht 'that breathes,' thanks to the use of Ecopur.
Ecopur is a recent technology innovation by Oltremateria that has received the 1st National Innovation Award 2023 in the Industry and Services Italian Design category from Quirinale. It is a natural, technological, eco resin that facilitates air purification. Nerea Yacht explored its applicability for the first time in yachting, leading to the idea of using it for the interior surfaces of the new NY40 Outboard. Ecopur ionizes and purifies the air through the gravitational abatement of dispersed airborne particles such as smog, pollutants, germs, bacteria, virus by refreshing all spaces like a large tree would. Each surface covered with Ecopur will turn into an air purifier without consuming energy or requiring the use of solvents, ensuring environmentally sustainable living on board in safe environments.
Equipped with this particular technology, NY40 Outboard highlights the centrality of the owner's wellbeing in Nerea Yacht's projects. An all-round comfort that, in this latest expression of the shipyard from the Marche Region in Italy, is also reflected in the implementation of technical solutions aimed at improving performance and style to satisfy the most refined tastes.
The sporty and dynamic soul of NY40 Outboard finds its maximum expression in the external lines and navigation, thanks to the "V" hull, designed by Zuccheri Yacht Design and the 3 Mercury V10 400hp AMS DS XL engines that allow to reach an exciting speed of 48 knots. On the deck, customized by a special teak arranged in a fishbone pattern, the view is immediately captivated by the presence of the large aft sundeck, covered by a woven design yarn, seamless, highly resistant and sustainable, because it is made from recycled plastic.
The matte dark grey hull paint, which identifies this new model as "Μάγνης Grey" (from the Greek Magnet), is matched with bronze-colored wrapping strips, adding a touch of sophistication to the engine shell, external window frames, and waterline. On the outside, the yacht features important custom elements such as the leather-covered helm station, Power Wings located behind the helm that offer complete control of the vessel, from home automation to command features, including Car Lights, which lend automotive-inspired appeal. For the first time, the galley cabinet has teak-lined doors, while the raised windshield offers more coverage from the wind while cruising. Another special feature is Besenzoni's multifunctional ladder-passerelle, which provides a smooth transition, from the dock to the descent into the sea.
The interior layout below deck includes a spacious dinette forward, a center table that can be lowered to become the base for storing additional cushions and transforming the area into a sleeping area, and two storage cabinets, one of which is equipped with a 50'' TV. The aft cabin features two spacious and comfortable single beds, carpeted floor and bathroom. All interiors, from the steps to the cabins, walls, curtain enclosures, coffee table and bathroom, are clad in Ecomalta, to which Ecopur resin is applied. Nerea Yacht is once again at the forefront of innovation, setting new standards for environmentally sustainable yachting experiences.
The colors of both interior and exterior fabrics and upholstery are warm tones ranging from sand , to caramel, from bronze to brown hazelnut. The 12.29-meter overall length and 4-meter beam give NY40 great livability and allow it to accommodate 10 to 12 people.
In addition to NY40 Outboard, Nerea also exhibited at Boot Dusseldorf NY24 Limo in an elegant dark bronze version, a luxury tender launched during the latest European boat shows in Cannes and Genoa.
NY24 Limo
With her stylish 7.35-meter-lenghth, NY24 Limo is the ideal tender for megayacht. Alessio Battistini and Davide Bernardini (IDEAEITALIA) also penned this version of the NY24: moved by the same passion that characterizes the shipyard, they contribute to the realization of a tender with a modern design and small dimensions: "V" shaped elegant and clean hull, with deadrise of 18.5°, able to offer a smooth passage over the wave and a safe ride even in rough seas. The remarkable seaworthiness of this boat make it perfect to navigate below the coast or in open seas and, thanks to the type of draft, it easily allows to reach bays with very shallow water. In addition, NY24 Limo features hydraulic steering rather than mechanical one, thus allowing for precise, smooth steering that requires less maintenance. The comfortable three-tiered structured transom platform makes it very easy to get on and off the dock, while, the stern hatch, with its electric opening, allows motors inspection in the engine room with ease.
A BIMINI TOP is installed on board: a perfect protection while cruising that makes the sea travel experience pleasant and relaxing without sacrificing the flowing and sporty line of the NY24 Limo profile.
Like the previous versions, this model is oriented to exclusivity, to the harmony of shapes and different matching colors, to the refinement of materials and finishes of the highest quality. This concept is mixed with the desire to offer a wide selection that allows a high degree of customization following the needs and tastes of the customer.
The use of synthetic teak as a replacement for the more commonly used natural teak has been a bold and long-term choice since this material, in addition to responding positively to contemporary environmental requirements, needs less maintenance and care, being less sensitive to weathering and wear and tear over time. Providing synthetic teak as an option, proves Nerea Yacht's desire to offer solutions on board that meet the needs of those who are not only attentive to quality and design, but also in choosing materials with reduced environmental impact.
The inboard propulsion on board is a Yanmar HP 250Z engine, capable to achieve performance of 35 knots as maximum speed and 26 knots cruising.
Nerea Yacht continues its story made of determination, competence and creativity by offering a model consistent with what has already presented to the market, with traditional lines but as a new generation of yachts where beauty and functionality become the perfect combination.
