Wider 165 M/Y "Cecilia", countdown to launch for summer 2018

The shipyard in Ancona is buzzing with activity and excitement as the countdown to launch progresses.

On the exterior, the painters have been working round the clock and have now completed the application of final top coat to the bridge and main decks, complementing the previously completed sundeck. With teak decks already laid and glass hand rails also installed, these areas are beginning to show the full beauty of the exterior lines of this 50m yacht...

Focus is now very much on the beach club area, with the opening doors and hatches – a major feature on the WIDER range of yachts – receiving the Awl grip paint cycle. The top coat application to the hull will conclude the work of the painters by mid April.

"We remain committed to our current launch schedule in early May" said Stefano Talamonti, Chief operations officer, WIDER Srl. "Last week I was in Holland to approve the batteries which form an integral part of the propulsion system. These will be delivered to the yard in the coming week. These are the last of the engineering equipment to be installed prior to launch."

Inside, the elegant sky lounge – one of the most popular areas on board – has now taken shape and is showing off some of the contemporary design features that were included by the La Spezia based Interior designers from IdeaeItalia.
