The Foil Academy FIV powered by Luna Rossa makes a stop on Lake Garda
Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli's sailors support the young "foiling" athletes with an eye on tomorrow's champions
After the stages in Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, the Foil Academy FIV Powered by Luna Rossa gets to the heart of the matter with the appointment on Lake Garda (3-5 and 12-14 September), where the young athletes who have successfully passed the first phase of the Flight Test on foiling boats (Skeeta, iQFOiL and Waszp) will now also compete on the brand new Persico 69F crewed foiling monohulls.
This second phase of the Academy - called Clinic - will be preparatory for the passage to the final step, the Work Out, where the best sailors will be engaged in real training sessions and in a demo regatta organized within the Barcolana in Trieste.
As in the previous stages, some members of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team will support the young sailors, teaching them the tricks of the flying boats and the secrets of a winning regatta. For the Italian challenger to the 37th America's Cup, the Garda stage will also be an opportunity to closely observe the promising young sailors aboard the Persico 69F and perhaps pick some talent to be trained onboard the AC40, the one-design monohull with which Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will participate in the Women's and Youth America's Cup events in Barcelona in 2024.
