CMC Marine: Strategic Partnerships and Technological Innovations to Enhance Onboard Comfort and Control
Over the past few months, CMC Marine has firmly positioned itself at the forefront of the international yachting scene with a series of strategic announcements reinforcing its leadership in yacht and superyacht stabilization systems.
With over 2,500 systems installed over the last 15 years on vessels ranging from 40 to over 80 meters, the company has entered into key partnerships with leading marine electronics manufacturers such as Furuno, Dometic, Raymarine, and Garmin, with the goal of significantly improving navigation experience for owners, guests, and crews.
A major milestone is the integration of CMC Marine stabilization and steering systems with navigation displays from major manufacturers. Thanks to CMC Marine’s proprietary DALI interface (Display, Assistance, Logging Interface), users can now view and manage stabilizer status, performance, and operating modes directly from their Multifunction Displays (MFDs) and chartplotters.
This includes system monitoring, mode selection, parameter settings, and alarm access. For vessels equipped with the CMC Marine Directa steering system, users can also monitor rudder angle and intuitively switch operational modes.
The collaboration with Furuno enables integration with the NavNet TZtouch3 (TZT9F/TZT12F/TZT16F/TZT19F) and TZT2BB MFDs. As Pietro Cappiello, Vice President of CMC Marine, highlights, this cooperation stems from the company’s constant attention to customer feedback and its ambition to align with top-tier partners. Furuno, a historic player in marine electronics since 1938, represents a natural ally.
At the last Cannes Yachting Festival, CMC Marine unveiled another strategic partnership with Dometic. This collaboration merges CMC Marine stabilizers with Dometic’s Optimus steering system for yachts from 40 to 115 feet.
Extensive testing, conducted at CMC’s development center in Pisa and in collaboration with a major OEM shipyard, confirmed optimal synergy between fins and rudders, promising significant improvements in comfort, maneuverability, and safety at sea.
Alessandro Cappiello, President of CMC Marine, expressed pride in the integration, emphasizing the shared focus on technology and onboard comfort. Eric Fetchko, President of Dometic Marine, added that this partnership is proof of how two industry leaders can collaborate to deliver real benefits to clients and shipowners.

At the same event, CMC Marine also announced integration with Raymarine Axiom chartplotters via the DALI interface. Users of Axiom+, Axiom 2 Pro, and Axiom 2 XL displays running the latest LightHouse OS can now access the same monitoring and control functions available with Furuno systems. A compatible DALI module is required for this integration.
Alongside these partnerships, CMC Marine introduced several new products, including the STAB50 — the fifth stabilizer in the Waveless range. Engineered to deliver top-tier performance in compact spaces, it ensures unprecedented comfort and ease of installation.
Another innovation is the new stabilizer fin design developed by CMC Marine’s R&D team in Milan and manufactured at the new facility in Salerno. This new profile enhances at-anchor performance by up to 20% without compromising cruising efficiency. These are the first fins to be produced in the Salerno plant, underlining CMC Marine’s strong investment in R&D and production capacity.
These results are the first outcomes of a three-year corporate development plan launched less than a year ago, supported by a €10 million investment. The objective is clear: drive growth through innovation and the strengthening of strategic alliances.
In this context, a new collaboration with Garmin was also announced, expanding compatibility of CMC Marine systems with Garmin MFDs via the DALI interface — further improving integration and usability for captains and crews. As reiterated by Pietro Cappiello, the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to enhance safety and onboard experience by simplifying system interaction.
With six locations across Italy, the US, and the UK, a workforce of 90 people, and an extensive global service network, CMC Marine continues to be a key player in the international yachting market — with further updates expected soon, especially regarding its range of thrusters.
