Bali Catamarans unveils its new sailing catamaran – Bali 4.3

With the new BALI 4.3, moving up a category no longer means moving up in size. Inheriting the latest advances developed for the BALI 7.0, BALI 5.8 and BALI 5.2, this new model brings together, within 43 feet, next-generation energy autonomy, the most generous rooftop in its category and unrivalled carrying capacities in its segment. A new way of approaching cruising: going further, staying longer and enjoying every stopover even more.

A new generation of BALI

The BALI 4.3 introduces a new expression of the brand’s design. Its elegant, dynamic and taut lines, directly inspired by the BALI 7.0, give it an immediately recognisable silhouette.

Its architecture remains faithful to one of BALI Catamarans’ founding innovations: a fully decked, rigid forward cockpit, with no nets or trampolines.

This design creates a genuinely usable space across the entire forward section. Serving as an outdoor lounge, sunbathing area and circulation space, the forward cockpit offers a privileged place to live as close to the sea as possible, while providing enhanced protection from spray while sailing.

The BALI concept, No. 1 for comfort at sea

The BALI 4.3 brings together the iconic innovations that define the brand’s DNA and its Open Space concept: the BALI tilting swing door, the rigid foredeck, direct access to the forward cockpit from the saloon, and smooth walkthrough circulation between the different living spaces, combined with unrivalled autonomy.

In just a few seconds, the BALI® tilting swing door disappears, bringing the saloon and aft cockpit together into one vast, single-level space. At the bow, the rigid foredeck replaces traditional trampolines or netting with a genuine cockpit, directly accessible from the interior.

This walkthrough architecture allows natural movement from aft to forward without having to go around the coachroof. It makes moving around easier, brings the different living spaces closer together and allows everyone to choose where they want to be on board depending on the time of day.

The Boat of Tomorrow

The BALI 4.3 also clearly distinguishes between charter operation and an owner’s programme, offering features that are adapted and always rational according to the destination and intended use.

After several years of good and faithful service in charter in a 4-cabin configuration, the BALI 4.3 can very easily be converted into a 3-cabin owner’s version, giving it a second life and allowing it to continue sailing for many more years. A simple kit and some non-structural interior work will transform the BALI 4.3 for a new private use.

The largest covered rooftop in its category

The BALI 4.3 stands out with a rooftop whose dimensions and layout change the perception of a 43-foot catamaran.

Divided into three areas — helm station, cocktail area and sunbathing area — it allows the helmsman and guests to share the same space without interfering with manoeuvres. Its full-length bimini, covering the entire flybridge, provides optimal sun protection both at anchor and while sailing.

Visibility from the helm station remains unobstructed, and all manoeuvres are grouped within easy reach. Navigation, socialising and relaxation can therefore coexist on the same level, in a space designed to be used throughout the day.

Sail longer without depending on the marina

BALI innovation continues on the BALI 4.3 with enhanced energy autonomy and carrying capacities unprecedented in this segment.

Its 48 V electrical architecture with Lithium batteries, combined with solar power of up to 3,000 W, makes it possible to cover ALMOST ENTIRELY the boat’s energy requirements. The use of a generator is no longer necessary, preserving peace and quiet at anchor and limiting consumption.

New-generation high-capacity alternators ensure rapid charging while motoring. The energy produced, stored and used on board is therefore managed as a global system that is more efficient and better suited to contemporary equipment.

This energy autonomy is complemented by the largest fresh water, fuel and refrigeration capacities on the 43–44-foot market. The benefit is immediate: fewer stops for supplies, fewer constraints and more time devoted to sailing and chosen stopovers.

The pleasure of sailing, quite simply

The BALI 4.3 benefits from the CATANA Group’s 40 years of experience in designing catamarans intended for long-distance sailing.

With 122 m² of upwind sail area for a weight of only 14 tonnes, it offers a particularly favourable weight-to-sail-area ratio in its segment. This configuration provides balance, responsiveness and enjoyment under sail.

All sheets and halyards are centralised at the helm station and protected by the bimini. The boat can therefore be easily handled with a reduced crew.

This simplicity takes nothing away from the sensations; on the contrary, it makes sailing more accessible, smoother and more reassuring, whether for an experienced crew, a family crew or one that is still relatively unfamiliar with larger yachts.

A galley at the heart of the boat

On board the BALI 4.3, the galley is not relegated to a secondary function. Positioned at the centre of the living space, it becomes the meeting point.

Spacious, ergonomic and open to the saloon, this genuine central galley makes it possible to prepare meals while remaining fully connected to life on board. It offers work surfaces and storage capacities designed for everyday cooking, including during long cruises.

The BALI® tilting swing door fully opens the aft section of the saloon, bringing the galley, saloon and cockpit together into a single, level space. Beyond the volume itself, this configuration makes everyday use more fluid: cooking, entertaining, dining or enjoying the anchorage all take place in complete continuity, with the interior and exterior forming one vast space completely open to the sea.

The comfort of larger yachts concentrated into 43 feet

The owner’s version of the BALI 4.3 is designed for those who truly want to live on board.

The suite features a 180 cm King Size bed, combined with a large private dressing room and numerous storage spaces. Every volume is used to simplify everyday organisation and make it possible to bring clothing, equipment and provisions on board without cluttering the living spaces.

The attention paid to storage directly inherits the experience gained from CATANA catamarans designed for long-distance passages.

The available configurations make it possible to adapt the BALI 4.3 to every programme: premium charter, family boat, private investment or passionate couple, without compromising on comfort or aesthetics on board.

An aft platform designed for adventure

The electric aft platform can accommodate a tender up to 3.40 m and 250 kg.

Robust and secure, it simplifies launching and retrieving the tender. Once cleared, it provides a large surface at sea level, particularly enjoyable for swimming, water activities or boarding.

This capacity makes it possible to choose a tender genuinely suited to onboard needs and extended stays, without being limited by the dimensions usually encountered on a catamaran of this size.

More possibilities, in a controlled format

The BALI 4.3 does not simply seek to offer more volume. Within 43 feet, it provides access to a way of sailing previously associated with larger yachts.

48 V Lithium autonomy, solar production of up to 3,000 W, leading carrying capacities, a three-zone rooftop, central galley, owner’s suite with King Size bed and a platform for a 3.40 m tender: every choice serves the same ambition.

To enable owners and crews to go further in their cruising plans, without moving up to a larger boat.
