The countdown to the 2025 Southern Wind Rendezvous and Trophy has started, and the team is looking forward with great excitement to an exceptional 19th edition this year. This will be a record edition with twelve Southern Wind yachts at the starting line. We are ready to give a warm greeting to many first-time participants, as well as our habitués who have enjoyed the event before.

Two SW boats will be competing in the Superyacht Class of the Giorgio Armani Super Yacht Regatta and will be manned by highly professional crews headed by enthusiastic owners: the historically super competitive RP-NAUTA 100 Morgana and the new challenger on the block SW96 Liberty Squared. Five yachts have signed up to compete in the Superyacht Corinthian Spirit Class, a new :division offering a perfect balance of performance and sailing enjoyment. Sailing in this division: SW105 Sorvind by Giorgio Armani, chartered for the occasion by the fashion house and crewed by a mix of professionals and guests. A choice that Giorgio Armani aims as a testimony of a true passion for the sea and sailing.

SW108 Gelliceaux, still triumphant after her first ever competition in St Barths at last year’s Bucket Race and her victory at the Ibiza Joysail Regatta last September, and ready for her first Rendezvous. SW100 Grillo Parlante waiting to race with a family crew and participating in this event for the first time. SW94 Magic Blue coming in with a fresh competitive spirit and an owner who has a long career in racing. Last, but no least, the SW82 Grande Orazio, one of Southern Wind’s most faithful veterans whose owner will as always be proudly at the helm trying to confirm his undisputed Palmares of victories in Porto Cervo.

Five are the yachts joining the Southern Wind Rendezvous Class and who will sail the course to the maximum enjoyment of all on board. Amongst these three SW96: Ammonite, Nyumba and Sorceress, which has arrived in Porto Cervo straight from the Caribbean with her passionate blue water owners on board.

SW105 No Rush (formerly Taniwha), debuts with her new lady owner at her first experience in the SW family and a reputation of being fiercely competitive. And finally, SW100 Agapi Mas, another new owner and first time Rendezvous participant to whom we give a warm welcome.

The entire team welcomes all owners and participants to the 2025 Rendezvous  wishing everybody the maximum enjoyment in both competition and leisure sailing without forgetting everything else on the packed agenda. The Southern Wind Official dinner  this year is themed “Under One Sky” and will be held Wednesday night in the exclusive “Giagoni in Piazza” restaurant, located in the charming and romantic setting of the inland village of San Pantaleo.

We wish to thank Giorgio Armani and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda for hosting one of the most elegant superyacht events, and all our partners for their invaluable support in making this gathering a unique moment in the sailing superyacht scene: Doyle Sails, APM Keels, Hall Spars, Gottifredi Maffioli, Generalmarine, Pantaenius Yachting Insurance, Racing Spirit, Novamarine, and Maison Saint Aix.
