The Tecnomar catamaran This Is It wins the Best Catamaran Award

The Italian Sea Group announces that the Tecnomar Catamaran "THIS IS IT" has won the "Best of the Best 2024" award “Best Catamaran” at the prestigious Robb Report Awards, which celebrate the best luxury products and experiences of the past 12 months in the fields of architecture, style, design, food, yachting, and technological innovation.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, 10th July, in Monaco at the prestigious Yachting Club, in front of a jury composed of editors and experts for each of the 15 awarded categories (automotive, yachting, aviation, travel, style, watches, jewellery, food, wine, spirits, art, design, cigars, equipment, and residential building), who have distinguished themselves over the past year for innovation, attention to detail, and the pursuit of perfection.

Tradition and innovation blend to create a radical lifestyle concept, defined by a layout with evident asymmetries and a bold, captivating silhouette enveloped by over 600 square meters of impressive glass surfaces. The inspiration is technological, far from typical yachting design and more in line with civil architecture. The external lines, sinuous and soft, challenge our perception of what is truly possible, forcing us to completely rethink our aesthetic parameters.

Innovative design, speed, and sportiness, hallmarks of the Tecnomar DNA, make THIS IS IT an exceptional catamaran. The careful weight distribution study was a significant factor in the engineering design process, especially considering the large amount of glass used in the project. The futuristic interior design of the new Tecnomar THIS IS IT is enriched with refined details and sophisticated materials. Leather and Alcantara, oak and teak interact with sinuous shapes, punctuated by decisive geometric cuts and gray marble inserts.

Dynamic, enveloping, and sporty is the dominant mood, yet the colour palette is also elegant and refined, with light tones of beige and platinum grey prevailing. The precious accent is given by the combined use of three noble metals: gold, bronze, and titanium, contrasted with the calm natural tones of the wood essences and leathers.
