Personnel is a company’s most valuable asset. This year, SAIM SpA has taken significant steps forward on this journey, achieving the prestigious UNI/PdR 125:2022 Certification for Gender Equality.

The certification, issued in February by IMQ, confirms SAIM's commitment to implementing an equal opportunity policy for all employees and pursuing the values goals regarding women in managerial positions.

“This certification recognizes the policies and practices implemented by our organization to promote a fair working environment where every individual, regardless of gender, has equal opportunities for professional growth and development. This commitment is deeply held by the Proprietary family, as illustrated by myself, my sister Cristina, and my brother Marco, united by strong ethical and professional values,” said Massimo Donà, President of SAIM Spa.

The certification process involved a thorough examination of SAIM actions to promote equality and specific projects in support of women, facilitated through a series of interviews with staff members.

“Management and ownership play a pivotal role in establishing a model for the organization and implementing measures to ensure the advancement of this initiative,” said Letizia Fiamenghi, CFO of SAIM and member of the Board of Directors. “It is crucial to ensure that all staff receive equitable treatment and have access to equal opportunities for professional growth. The aspiration is that in the future, the necessity to regulate gender equality, the implementation of projects in support of women’s empowerment, and the status of gender equality and inclusivity as fundamental tenets of organizational conduct will no longer be a topic of discussion.”

Training courses are being scheduled in the coming months to ensure compliance with the guidelines of the equality management system. SAIM will adopt innovative management methods and measure its progress through specific KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) with respect to culture, strategy, governance, HR processes, growth opportunities, gender balance, pay equity, parental protection, and work-life balance.
